Hi Sarah and Everyone,
Earlier today I wrote a long message but was unable to post it after taking quite a lot of time to do it. It’s late now and I have a big day tomorrow so my note now will be short.
I arrived safely after being diverted to Genoa because of high winds in Florence. Arriving by bus, I drove through the mountains of eastern Italy—it was beautiful. Here are a couple of photos (if i can load them on the site) from my first few hours in Florence, meeting my group at San Miniato and listening to the monks sing vespers. Hope everyone is well—Sarah, you will love it here. I passed all the high school kids waiting for school early this morning—they are all on bikes or vespas! Love you.—Mom, Mary

you know what that means right? now you have to get me one! have you talked to any italian people yet? my dad hooked up a new phone in the house, so now (if you can...) call me at my dad's house so yeah...eat some spaghetti for me! (yes yes i know it has wheat, but STILL!)

way to go including yourself in them!!! we want to see you there, too! sarah... it sounds like she wants you to come! need a chaperone?! :o)
I'm just so happy for you that you're there!!!
Hey! I went to fix the one post with pictures (bring the text up so folks could see it) - and your long post (with the Italian title?) is still there - it's just in draft! so, you can still post it!! just click on "posts" over to the right in the white box and click "edit" beside the Italian title one... then hit publish! :o)
hope you are well!
YAY Mary!!! We're so glad that you arrived safely--although the long way--and that you're having a fun and exciting time so far. I agree with Nicole that it's great that you're getting pictures of YOU in Italy---so much better than just pictures of Italy that you took. Great idea!
Have a wonderful time, and except when you're blogging, don't think about us at DCD at all. :o)
Katie's graduation invitation came today... and there is no way that I'm going, is there?
